Deceder Group is searching for a Senior Project Designer / Architect to be part of a talented and close-knit group of architects & interior designers, working in a collaborative environment managing a wide range of exciting commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be an experienced architect who can provide technical detailing, quality control, and project management on a wide range of projects, serving as the project team's face of Deceder Group and overseer. Additionally, this individual is personable, experienced, and eager to grow in a collaborative environment. They will serve as a resource, sounding board, and mentor for the other architects and designers.

Responsibilities include:
- Define project requirements, create project schedules and communicate successful project paths
- Participate in preliminary project walkthroughs
- Assist in determining staffing requirements for projects, balance deadlines, and ensure project milestones are met
- Monitor project team productivity to ensure projects are on schedule and all employees are fully utilized
- Direct and delegate project work to junior staff and collaborate with senior designers and managers
- Ensure projects are thoroughly coordinated with consultants, and at the time of permit & pricing issuance are substantially complete to limit bid and county review comments
- Manage consultants by delivering project information, coordinating schedules, and performing review & quality control
- Participate in project status meetings to interface with the entire project team
- Communicate directly with the design and construction project team
- Ensure client expectations are met, and relationships both maintained and advanced
- Participate in Project Delivery process including Quality Management Plan
- Be available to answer questions from all team members
- Overly communicative with clients on a day-to-day basis
- Further the firms Business Development goals by participating in networking events
- Additionally, act as a team player in a growing firm by performing additional responsibilities as required
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- 8+ years of experience in the architecture industry-leading projects, people, and studios through complex creative work and growth in new markets and locations
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture or interior design (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Currently licensed/registered (NCARB or NCIDQ preferred)
- Further development of Deceder Group’s reputation & footprint through participation in networking events, award submissions, and a customer-service mindset
